2014 Honda Odyssey
The Honda Odyssey is taking first place in many minivan comparisons. It has been noted as having exceptional handling ability (a must for longer vehicles, as well as excellent fuel economy amongst its class. Additionally, the interior is noted as being particularly unique and innovative; something we come to expect from all Honda vehicles. The six speed auto transmission drives the powerful V6 engine, and fuel economy is rated at 19/28 mpg city/highway. Inside, the tech features are notable and include the integrated vacuum cleaner, eight inch color displays, a camera for the rear view, bluetooth, seven speaker sound system – just to name a few features. Honda has gone above and beyond to create a minivan that is not only functional and comfortable, but stands above the crowd when it comes to features and technology.
2014 Toyota Sienna
Being the only minivan available currently with the option of all wheel drive, this feature alone will appeal to many. This is a larger hybrid family minivan but this translates to significant space inside (cargo space measuring 150 cubic feet). it is possible to create even more leg room in the second or third row of seating by sliding the bench along the track. Seating up to eight passengers, it is a vehicle that is made for carrying big families and plenty of cargo. The 19 inch allow wheels give off a sporty look that rises above the traditional bland minivan appearance of the past. The AWD system however, may be the most appealing feature of all, allowing this minivan to be driven in places on terrain would have difficulty.
2014 Chrysler Town & Country
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country is a highly rated minivan which is considered a luxury model. With a higher price tag than average, and leather interior, it may seem to be targeted more at those who enjoy heavy shopping, rather than carting half a dozen family members around; although it can certainly serve both purposes well. The fuel economy however does not rate as well as other minivans in this category, and that could be a deal breaker for those looking for longer term savings to offset the higher upfront price tag.
2013 Mazda Mazda5
The regular Mazda5 is a hugely popular vehicle worldwide. This hybrid japanese minivan version of the much loved Mazda5 rates as one of the lowest priced options in the class. It is also the smallest minivan, making it perfect for drivers who may not be comfortable with the larger models, or who simply want something that sits between a sedan and a traditionally sized minivan. The Mazda5 comfortably sits six passengers and features a 2.5L engine. The third row of seats are easily accessible via the second row seat, and the rear door slides to allow easy entry and exit for all passengers. Mazda has designed the Mazda5 minivan to be roomy and comfortable.
2014 Kia Sedona
The Kia Sedona looks like a traditional minivan from the exterior. With a V6 engine, it packs a lot of punch and will handle heavier loads. Critics have noted that the Sedona does not handle as well on the road as some of its competitors, and is not as economic when it comes to fuel usage. However, it is noted for its comfortable interior and simple design for families who are on a modest budget. Find a vehicles with 8 passengers on http://uscarguide.net/8passengervehicles/.
2014 Nissan Quest
The 2014 Nissan Quest is priced similarly to the Kia Sedona, and features a unique wraparound glass design that gives the vehicle a somewhat futuristic appearance. The sliding doors are power driven and can be activated with a single touch, as does the liftgate. Inside, the dashboard features stylish wood trim and soft, heated front seats. The minivan has also been designed to be as quite as possible for passengers, with sound insulation like thick carpeting to minimize road noise. Nissan’s Blind Spot Warning System is built in, giving you peace of mind that accidentally ignoring your blind spot will result in an illumination to let you know. Unlike the Toyota Sienna however, the 2014 Nissan Quest is front wheel drive only.
These new hybrid fuel-efficient minivans offer a wealth of features and benefits for people in the market for this particular type of vehicle. There is little doubt that hybrid cars are shaping the future, and the development of these models by the top car manufacturers proves that hybrids are taken seriously, and are no longer only the domain of the very small car.
